When I was four years old, my mom got me a “Three Little Pigs” dress-up set, with pig- and wolf-ear headbands and little mittens that looked like paws and trotters.  The wolf set and one of the pig mittens have disappeared in the intervening seventeen years, but the pig headband and the other mitten still live in my closet, and every time I try to clean out that closet I end up wearing the piggy ears.
