Who needs mom spit on a paper napkin when you’ve got a friendly giraffe ready and willing to lick your face clean? Sit still, this will only take a moment.
Giraffe’s have awesome prehensile tongues that are roughly 20 inches long and purplish-black in colour. It’s theorized that the dark colour helps protect against sunburn. Giraffes use their tongues to grasp foliage, groom themselves, and even clean their own nostrils. We can’t help but wonder if they’d enjoy lollipops and popsicles even more than we do.

Giraffe tongues are AWESOME!  One time I even got licked by one—our zoo has a deck-thing where you can feed them special giraffe-friendly crackers, and they take them out of your hand with their tongues.  SO COOL
also “oh, giraffe crackers!” is a great minced oath
