Orange, because I have problems learning and I think that would be fantastic….Or Red…maybe the Red would make my health better…

Yellow. Reading minds in tests and stuff? Plus you could get away with so much stuff.

Blue. because teleporting anywhere i want to go is something I want so badly right now.

Green. Because with it, you’d have the blue pill (birds, fish) and parts of the red pill (grizzlies or elephants for strength, salamanders who can regenerate limbs).

Not black, because knowing the future is a heavy burden.

Not pink or yellow, because those’re just wrong.

Not grey, red or blue because just those powers, alone, are too specific.

Not orange, because that’s cheating.

Orange, because why would you settle for just one talent when you could have all or any of them? And I don’t know that I want to be able to read minds.

I don’t see this as a “cheating/not cheating” situation.

Let’s see…

Yellow - Morally wrong and probably really unpleasant for me? Hell no!

Green - Maybe…does shapeshifting hurt? It seems like it might.

Blue - Ooh, I like this one. Transport’s a hassle, a big expense, and potentially dangerous, and I could get so much more done! I like this one.

Orange - Maybe, but I like working to get better at things. I don’t know how much I could enjoy anything that I was just magically fabulous at.

Red - Well, I’d certainly have an easier time getting over my fears with all that on my side! But if you don’t get invicibility…hmmm.

Pink - OH HELL NO. That is just messed up, y’all.

Grey - Could be useful, but I don’t have the knowledge or interests to really make the most of it.

Black - Potentially scary and possibly also unethical, at least in certain circumstances. Gonna pass on this one.

So the problem with designing characters who become popular is that, if you’re a needy bastard like me who tracks the Lutece tags when you’re bored, you’re suddenly exposed to a ton of art of said characters in various states of undress.

I’m not one to discourage this sort of thing- no no, I have sketchbooks full of Remus/Sirius stuff from high school- but I figured I might as well give everyone a leg-up with a more detailed guide to Rosalind Lutece’s potential underthings. I’ve seen a ton of drawings of her in corsets from a good 50 years before her time and I… I needed to step in.

Think of this as a primer! Not a be-all-end-all of Edwardian underthings (heck, I’m still learning this stuff), but it might teach you some new fashion terms/ideas you weren’t previously aware of! Go forth, young padawan, and draw historically-accurate Rosalind porn to your heart’s content.

also the new tag search function means I’m about to start gettin’ extreeeeeeeemely circuitous in some of my tags around here if I want to make their contents harder to stumble upon by accident

I just really really really don’t wanna scare people by accident, you know? you come around here, I want you to be risking the scary weird shit ON PURPOSE

so that’s why I don’t tag my DW posts with the fandom unless they’re pretty innocuous fanart or headcanons (even though I know people who see that stuff might click through to my whole blog…but hopefully they’d just search that tag and miss the other things?)

so out of curiosity and boredom, I browsed the tag for…my personal li’l paraphilia, which shan’t be specifically named on account of people tracking the tag probably not wanting to see this ~~but it starts with an H if y’all need a hint okay~~

I really, really don’t want to judge other folks’ *ahem* Interests—certainly most of us haven’t got any control over what ends up in that box—but I’m pretty sure I don’t belong in that community. It really feels like there’s a qualitiative difference between me diggin’ the fictional Bad Dudes (and potentially Ladies if and when I find ‘em) and the people who’re into the real ones.

Also, I don’t think the discussions I’ve read about the causes/reasons for my…idiosyncrasy…really fit the bill with regards to me? Like I’ve seen academic/medical professionals and people who have the paraphilia and other random folks all talking about it as like a “wanting to be with a Dominant Alpha Male” kind of thing and, well:

1) Alpha Males ain’t a thing in wolves, much less humans (plus I don’t know how well we can tease out whether the observed bias towards men re: committing violent acts is really rooted in biology, given how much culture and self-awareness and suchlike could confound that and how hard it is to even try controlling for those variables…but I digress)

2) that sure isn’t how it feels for me, you know? I mean, yes, it is probably a Power Thing to some degree, but very definitely NOT a “have power over me” kind of thing. If anything, it’s more a like a way to stop them having power over me by turning the fear into a…more positive kind of emotion! Plus there’s the whole “brains get intense emotions confused sometimes” thing where being in a scary situation might make people more inclined to have sexual feelings towards other folks? I have no idea how you’d even begin to show whether or not that’s what’s going on with me—I am very definitely not a psychologist!—but it sure feels like I might have got “heart racing from fear” and “heart racing from attraction” mixed up somewhere along the line and just run with it.
